amanda palmer blog [06 May 2008|08:38pm]

"hola comrades!

so, brian and i are known to do weird local benefits.
without boring you with an incredibly long and involved story, i was very attached to my french and latin teachers in high school.
i didn't eat lunch in the cafeterias, i would abscond to the music practice rooms or (on days when they were free) to the rooms of these two teachers
to commune about Life. i've stayed in touch with both of them, visiting a lot, and Gigi (aka Madame Girondel, aka my french teacher) recently asked if
i would help out since her french exchange program came in short on money. being in town and all, and wanting an excuse to hang out in my hometown
and play some songs and eat free food and do some good For the Children, we're doing it.

we'll probably be playing for about an hour and we're going to do some things In French.
and doing some Legit Fucking Around, because we haven't practiced a ton.

the tickets are $60, and the event includes delicious desserts.

there is only space for about 100 people, so please email ASAP if you want tickets: LHSFrExch@gmail.com
as far as i know, there won't be tickets available at the door.

and also, i think, my mom will be there. being proud.
and also there will be some other music from some jazz-playing lexington high school folks.
and we all might jam out together.
so what i'm saying is, if you're around on sunday and you are feeling generous and you're feeling very david lynch, COME.

"42 Entertainment were the People's Voice Winner in *both* the categories they were nominated for in this year's Webby Awards. They were of course nominated for the massive Year Zero ARG campaign.

They were successful in the Integrated Campaign and the Other Advertising: Branded Content categories.

Well done to 42 Entertainment and thanks to everyone who voted!!!"

i wish i could go back in time and undo a lot of what happened to me and what i did to myself. it seems like there was a lot of suffering in my past internally that i could have prevented had i been another person.

everyday i drive by the house that my parents would have bought when i was younger, a house in another town, a house that could have spawned a whole other life for me. that path that i could have taken might have been happier. for some reason everytime i pass the house i can't help but think about  how i could have ended up like, how my life would have been different.

gorgeous dress

i'm always drawn to dresses like this when i'm looking at runway photos. i guess it stems from me always wanting to a princess like Belle from Beauty and the Beast, but never being able to because they were always out of her costume on Halloween (i was stuck with Pocahontas.. gag).

why does everyone got hussel on their mind [03 Mar 2008|04:49pm]

this is by far the ugliest jacket i have ever seen. it's way too futuristic. but futuristic as in the 80's version of the future. looks like she belongs on a starwars ship, oldschool style if you ask me.

This is a test post from flickr, a fancy photo sharing thing.

i want these Antonio Berardi shoes.
they are quite possibly the hottest, most fashion forward thing i've seen on the runway this year.

i think the only way that the republicans can win the next election is if their candidate is a black woman.
